Alexei Navalny started his career as a politician in Russian politics. In the year 2008, he invested a sum of 300,000 Rubles in the stocks of 5 oil and gas companies which were Gazprom, Aurgutneftegar, Lukoil, Rosneft, and Gazprom Neft. This made him an activist shareholder of the companies and then he aimed at making the financial assets of these companies transparent.
In November 2010, confidential documents about ‘’Trasneft’s Auditing’’ were published.
